Adrian Shatku
Adrian Shatku is the Founder and CEO of UNIFI Communications, Inc., headquartered at One World Trade Center in New York. With more than 27 years of experience in international telecommunications, he has built UNIFI into a global carrier serving more than 70 countries through over 450 carrier interconnections. An early pioneer of IP telephony, Adrian founded UNIFI to deliver carrier-grade VoIP when the technology was still emerging, establishing a foundation of quality and reliability in international wholesale voice. He previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of WIS Telecom S.p.A. and WIS Telecom S.A. During his tenure, TeleGeography ranked WIS Telecom among the world’s top 15 global carriers in 2014. In late 2024, Adrian led UNIFI through a strategic transformation, redirecting its global network assets toward the infrastructure powering the next era of communications. Today, UNIFI is The Ai Carrier, delivering connectivity through subsea cable systems and Ai edge infrastructure. Under Adrian’s leadership, UNIFI is building Ai Corridors that mitigate the world’s critical connectivity chokepoints and connect Ai from the edge to the Ai gigafactory. Operating within the U.S. Clean Network framework, UNIFI delivers secure, resilient infrastructure for governments, carriers, and the global Ai economy. Adrian is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Brian Crawford
Bringing forth an impressive 18-year tenure within the undersea cable industry, Mr. Crawford stands as a seasoned authority in the field. Having directly contributed to over 20 successful undersea and terrestrial telecommunications network projects globally, he possesses comprehensive expertise across all facets of network dynamics—from design and planning to construction, operations, maintenance, and eventual retirement.
Mr. Crawford's professional journey includes pivotal roles held at esteemed organizations such as AT&T Submarine Systems (now TE SubCom), AT&T Communications, Pacific Gateway Exchange, and New World Network (now Columbus Networks). Through these positions, he has not only accumulated invaluable hands-on experience but has also cultivated a deep understanding of the intricacies inherent in the industry.
